Modular typography is used as a springboard here to explore letterforms – its form-making/giving, legibility, readability and its material base.

We are required to study its formal structures, understanding what makes a letter recognisable to us. Using that understanding, we will then create our own interpretation of that letter using analogue methods and a modular grid, before digitising and continuing to develop that single letter into three weights: light, regular, and bold.
